The Finnish Sauna Builders Turku is a 6-person outdoor barrel sauna with a built-in terrace, designed for residential backyard installation. Built from chemical-free treated Northern European Spruce and supplied with an 8KW WiFi-enabled heater, it is suited for families and groups who want a permanent outdoor sauna with a dedicated cool-down space.
Why This Outdoor Barrel Sauna
Built for larger groups — the Turku seats 6 people on a 2-tier bench layout with a 74.41 in bench length, making it the largest terrace model in the Finnish Sauna Builders lineup.
Longer interior than the Helsinki — interior length of 74.80 in vs. 51.18 in on the 4-person Helsinki, while sharing the same exterior barrel diameter (86.61 in wide, 88.98 in tall).
Terrace included — the integrated terrace platform provides a dedicated outdoor space between sessions; the Tampere and Vassa models do not include one.
Chemical-free wood treatment — Northern European Spruce undergoes a treatment process that improves dimensional stability and reduces shrinking without chemical preservatives.
No-cut DIY assembly — all components arrive pre-cut; no specialized tools or contractor required for the barrel structure.

Common Questions
Does the Turku barrel sauna include a heater?
Yes. The Finnish Sauna Builders Turku ships with an 8KW WiFi-enabled heater as part of the kit. The heater allows remote temperature control via a smartphone app. Contact Golden Sage Wellness to confirm electrical requirements before installation.
What is the difference between the Turku and the Helsinki barrel sauna?
Both include a terrace and use the same Northern European Spruce construction. The Turku seats 6 people with a 74.80 in interior length and 94.49 in exterior length. The Helsinki seats 4 people with a 51.18 in interior length and 70.87 in exterior length. Choose the Turku if you need more seating capacity.
What is the difference between the Turku and the Vassa barrel sauna?
Both are 6-person models with the same exterior width (86.61 in) and height (88.98 in). The Turku includes an integrated terrace; the Vassa does not. The Vassa has a longer interior (86.61 in vs. 74.80 in) because no space is allocated to a terrace.
